The Press will make a fine press edition of the timeless Mother-Daughter story as written down by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. The text is translated into English from the original German before changes were made to the story to be more palatable to children. This version has Snow-White's own mother poisoning her and the Queen dies in burning iron-shod shoes at end. This is the closest the Press could get to the raw oral tradition of story telling. The English translation prioritizes accuracy to the original German with a focus on fire-side story telling over prose.
